I just applied for Macy’s online, and was redirected to answer a couple questions on Macy’s recruiting site, which I wasn’t mad at, but it still took 20 minutes out of my life.
The biggest slap in the face was after I finished the questions I was given the opportunity, via email, to have a “video interview” with Macy’s, in which I record myself answering preselected questions and then uploading them to the recruiting website so that the recruiters don’t have to do actual interviews. No way am I allowing an employer to get away with interviewing me where I don’t even get to speak with them.
I just wish I had my 20 minutes back that I spent answering those questions.
