Corporate greed 100%

So many examples of exactly this, but Chevron just announced their profits quadrupled from soaring oil prices, meanwhile their workers are striking from unfair labor practices. Could not be more emblematic of the current disconnect, where execs and stockholders rake in cash while consumers pay for their exploitative inflation while also getting absolutely shafted when it comes to labor. This isn't even a “this company bad” post, because they're not doing anything differently that literally every other major corporation in the US, at least. But the only people who think the current system is working are the upper crust, siphoning the standard of living from everyone below them.
