Unluckily my streak ended and I came down with covid a bit ago. We’re a small company of maybe 15 people on a good day. Owner was generous enough to pay us a full 40 hours if we ever got covid. So I got paid my 40 for that week. Looked at my next weeks check and from the 51 total hours I put in, 2.5 as usual were taken out for lunch through the week. Ok, but then another 3.75 hours were taken off. I asked about it and was told I was paying back some of what I had been paid for being out…with covid. Take back the generous part. Is this a thing anywhere else??
