My manufacturing company in the UK has just announced that, beginning the next financial year, they will no longer be providing toilet paper in the staff toilets.
Yes.
I know.
You definitely read that right.
Apparently, due to a combination of three factors:
1) The Company has had a few bad years on the bounce
2) Staff have been 'using too much to effectively monitor'
3) Due to the cost of living crisis, we suspect staff have been taking rolls home.
6 months ago, they installed new holders that only um, deposit, a pre-set amount, but people just bought generic keys off Amazon to open them up and use human sized portions.
Like I said, really crappy of them
Edit: Spelling, wrote Amazin 🤦️
UPDATE: After everybody googling it and kicking off over the fact that it is a legal requirement to provide Toilet Paper, they have just released a brief memo instructing us to ignore the previous message, which was sent in error. Amazing
