I work as an esthetician and receive tips. I have reason to suspect that the company is keeping a portion of our credit card tips to cover the cost of the merchant fee for credit card transactions. From what I’ve heard they are keeping 3% of each credit card tip. I work full time and have been there for three years. If this is true, it’s a significant amount of money that my clients intended for me to have! Is this legal?
