What a joke, dude
60 applications in the last month. Three rejections. 57 no replies. One interview with a company I didn’t even apply to, they reached out to me via LinkedIn.
I told the hiring manager I can live comfortably on $70,000. He said this would be a problem. I asked why… he goes on to state “if you’re hitting your sales quota, you’ll be making $115,000. I don’t need another sales rep cruising below their quota because they’re happy with their pay.”
Fuck this system. Fuck shareholders. Fuck revenue. Fuck projections. If i hear those words in a meeting ever again I’ll probably jump out a window. I’m a veteran with an MBA and I can’t even get a reply from companies that are “urgently hiring”.
I’m so sick of this bullshit system. I just want to work for a company I like and be able to afford my bills. Apparently this is too much to ask for.
