I work as a critical care paramedic for a small privately owned EMS company. I'm also their only critical care medic. When I signed on with the company I was told I would receive a raise when I reached my one year mark. Well, that date has come and gone and I was informed by HR that I would have to wait for my raise as they are “restructuring” our pay.
The company wants me to submit my personal review and continue to jump through hoops while they sit on my income. They could not give me a time frame as to when they will have it resolved. Needless to say I've put in an application with a fire department and I'm waiting to hear back from them. It will be a pay cut, but I'm ok with it.
