Found out recently that I got a whopping .54 cent raise after busting my ass covering shifts for another co-worker, completing about 6-7 projects, doing my regular duties, and just stepping up to help the team where I can. It’s just over a 2 percent increase and I wasn’t expecting a large increase, but I also was hoping for a bit more than what I’m being compensated with. Am I right thinking this is a slap in the face? I hate corporate America, I hate our government, and maybe the reality is I just hate it here. I recognize I should be grateful to have a job, but all I feel most of do is bust our asses for peanuts in return.
