District manager ignored my call on a busy super short staffed day.

My district manager, who is also the general manager of the location I work at, completely ignored my call a few days ago during one of the busiest weekends of the year. We were supposed to have 6 people on, but 3 of them called out, so I and 2 of my coworkers were forced to work nonstop for 8 hours straight. My managers excuse? Her phone was dead. As a DM and GM, I know her phone is never dead. It simply can’t be in that type of position. I was honestly so shocked that she used such a lame excuse that I wasn’t sure what to say. I don’t plan on staying at this job for very long, as I’m nearly done with my degree and have been in contact with recruiters, but I’m not entirely sure how to feel about it.
