I am planning to take my PTO and quit.
They recently announced a policy where anyone taking PTO has to reply to an email informing everyone of the policy Reply All, a company wide email, saying we are taking PTO.
If I request a bunch of random days in the next two weeks, I know some of the nosey people here will figure out that I plan to take all my PTO and quit, given that I had to ask several people to simply confirm how much PTO I had and I am taking that amount.
I suspect they will fire me. Yes, this is legal. No, it's not legal to fire me for taking PTO. Yes, it's legal to fire me for any reason they make up that removes that as the reason.
Is it illegal to require I tell everyone I am taking PTO? If so, I will remove everyone but those who need to know.
