Does anyone else want to make up for lost time by being very greedy?

I graduated college into the Great Recession and didn't have a decent paying job until recently. I feel like a good fifteen years of life have been robbed from me. Lately I am willing to work insane hours, and very hard, but I expect very high pay and would, if I could, just loot the company I work for, like I'm taking back payments for what's been taken from me. You only live once, after all. If you mess up this chance, you're done for. Does anyone else, like older Millennials or late Gen X, feel and think this way lately?
