Dreams pursued are dreams that die

I finally got into a state job using my degree in GIS to make maps of facilities, I think the job is pretty cool but it's becoming overwhelming. I go out and collect all the data points for electricity, water, sewage, propane, communications. I have to measurements take pictures, I map roads, trails, everything in the area by myself and keep up entries for other engineers in other departments. I make tutorials for future employees that have to reciprocate my work In the future since my maps are all designed by Me. My boss makes comments that i have a second job and really never gives me a break on anything. I'm just wondering what pay range is appropriate for this type of work. I make 16.57 and I'm still not qualified for vacation, holidays, sick days, OT. Shits rough
