My wife's company is throwing an annual company employee Appreciation Party this Friday for it's employees. There's a catch; the employees are expected to bring all the food, all the condiments, drinks, ice, coolers, tables, cook all the food, set up the party and clean up. Also, the clean up crew employees have to return Saturday, to make sure everything is cleaned up. The party is thrown at the owner of the companies house. No family is allowed to join (only employees) and it's at 2pm on a Friday where many employees have to leave to pick up their kids from school. The only thing the company is providing is live music when most of the employees would rather let Spotify or Pandora play rather than spend money for the live music. Am I wrong for thinking this is fucking kooky? “We appreciate you…. Now bring all the food, cook it, be sure to clean up and we expect you back Saturday to make sure it's thoroughly cleaned up”.
