At a company my friend works for they have started clocking people out when they see them on the cameras ‘not working’. For example my friend sat down for a few mins when work was slow, were then called by the employer and told they had been clocked out since they could see them sitting there on the camera.
(Apparently they did inform some employees they would be doing this beforehand.)
My question: is this legal? It seems borderline not but I wonder since they did inform them?
