Employer is trying to get free labor out of us. Thoughts?

I started this job about a year and a half ago, my hours are 9-5 and we get a 45min paid lunch. Recently, they told us that, to “align across teams” we would be going to an unpaid 30mg lunch and we have to extend our scheduled hours to 9-5:30. This means my work hours extend 30min and I’m working an extra 45min each day with no extra pay (salaried non-exempt). Is this legal? Is there anything I can do? Sure as hell isn’t ethical. Bonus: They told us during our 1×1 to stifle the outcry, told us there’d be a team wide meeting to discuss, then when that never happened we’re told it’s now going to be an e-mail instead.
