Went to an interview for a position in sales. 10 mins in and the she says: “Your profile is interesting but we only hire women because most men are mamas' boys so they don't work as hard as single mothers” I was like WTF. Then she went on and said: “Do you have a problem working with women?” I say no. Then she asks: “What's your relationship with your mother or women in your family like?” Then again she says: “We don't hire men to avoid office drama.” I wonder why did she schedule an interview in the first place.
Edit: It's not fake. I just highlighted the sexism part. The interview wasn't only about that. Here are other things she said/asked that I think are redflags:
-
“We don't pay overtime because our salary is higher than average. Are you okay with that given the fact overtime is required 2-3 times a week?”
-
“Workers generally don't take their lunch time here. You'll see some eating at their desk just to save time”
-
“Your commission are paid the next month. But if your performance for the next month drop, the commission from your previous month takes a cut”
