So I work retail, and the job was red flag from get go but I had to move out of my place. Plus on benefits so I had to get a job.
They got no union, only young or old employees. Plus the interviewer advice for how do better in interview was ablist (after i had made clear I'm autistic). Plus barely 2 week notice on your rota, which is illegal but not the only illegal thing they done.
It was only a 6 month contract, which they then offer me 3 more months which I took as I didn't have time to search for a new job. That ends this Saturday. He only offered me an extension? (He really wasn't clear in meeting at all), last Friday. I had never accepted it as its not accepted until i sign new contract. But still I turned it down on Monday. I was even polite about it. He still asked about me giving 4 weeks notice.
I had not been given a new contract to sign, which until I do, I would not be employed past Saturday. After all shit they put me through, I'm glad I could screw them over. They're already losing employees and don't have enough as is. I know two of my other coworker that are friends will leave at the same time. Probably soon, so they're be even more screwed.
I only wish I could of got more stuff in written proof but they just don't communicate that way. I'm still gonna do my best to get them in the legal trouble they should be in.
