Even with the proposed 69 hour MAXIMUM workweek, South Korea has better worker rights than america.

You cannot be fired for starting a union. You cannot be fired for joining a union. You cannot be fired on the spot unless it's a flagrant offense. If you are to be fired, they must give you 30 days notice or 3 days pay. If you are fired for non-performance based reasons, they cannot hire or fill your position for two years. If they reopen, they must offer you the job first. The proposed law is a maximum of hours to be worked. The US has no maximum. After two years of contract work, you must either be made a regular employee, or they must state why you did not fulfill the obligations. Maternity and paternity leave is given. Mandatory minimum of 11 days off the first year, and 15 after that. Every two years adds one additional day off as well.
