We live in a society where the worth of the work is measured by the economic value it generates. X job gets higher pays than job Y because X is touch huh?
We were working on a project in which we need to make a chassis of a bike from plywood. We are engineer and we don't do labour consuming jobs . Our jobs needs much more skills than a carpenter . These were the view of my teammates.
So I asked them to cut wood and then ruined it . They were not able to cut a straight edge.
We should do a certain jobs cause we enjoy it . It can't be compared with any other jobs based on salary. Its pure bullshit but society wants us to follow and believe in that bullshit. Woodworking requires way more patience and persistence than engineering .
In the end i have to do all the work and the reaction were well see it was my idea and my design . shove it up your ass. An Idea is useless unless implemented . value every work and respect every job.
