Farms should be owned by farmers and Buildings should be owned by builders.

I like some of the Bill Gates stuff, but what does he know about farming? Has Donald Trump ever fixed a leaking anything before? Here in the UK the biggest owner of farmland invented a good hoover.

Between the French Revolution and the Communist Revolution – farms and farm equipment was owned by Lords and Dukes, and the farmer was just someone who knew how to grow things and was paying rent to do so, the situation has vastly improved and even though it doesnt seem like it – food is hella cheap nowdays. A loaf of bread in 1800 was like £5. The reason food got cheaper was because the farmers stopped paying rent and could pass the savings on to the consumer.
Another revolution is on the cards for property and residential land. Who the fuck is renting out basic things like how to fix a door that wont close properly. Who is calling a plumber to fix a dripping tap? r/landlords thats who – go on r/DIYUK and you will see people asking and answering these questions, and a lot of them are small private landlords that know one trade but not others – they share their knowledge and help each others out.
Why is your rent half your salary? Because your landlord doesnt know shit – you are paying him to pay a letting agent, who is paying a plumber, who is paying an apprentice to fix a dripping tap and its costing £100.
All buildings should be owned by people who know things about buildings because they can provide a service for you, and pass the savings onto you.
