Finally quit my part time job of 3 years

This was my first job I have ever had. I got this part time job as a “courtesy clerk” where I would bag and take out people’s groceries. I got the job when I was in Highschool and 16. They would always hold me after hours and work in the position of grocery stocker which I had no training and was not getting paid for (the pay was higher for grocery stocker). I worked more in the stocker position than the clerk position. They did not pay me as grocery stock for the better part of a year where I was in a constant battle with management to get promoted to stocker. They would always tell me “it out of our hands” or “it up to corporate” whenever I would bring it up to them. I was finally promoted to stocker but they still would not pay me as one.…

I worked more in the stocker position than the clerk position. They did not pay me as grocery stock for the better part of a year where I was in a constant battle with management to get promoted to stocker. They would always tell me “it out of our hands” or “it up to corporate” whenever I would bring it up to them. I was finally promoted to stocker but they still would not pay me as one. It took a couple months of constant reminder and the they finally paid me for the position I worked at. Out of high school and into college I was finding other ways to make money on my off days (Doordash, donating plasma, etc) and found out that I made more money in less hours with a better mental state bringing people their food than I ever did at my part time job. Today was the final straw. I had made a new schedule working Monday – Thursday in the morning and having Friday – Sunday off for doordash. They accepted the schedule. One of my managers asked me id I could work late night shifts and weekends. I told him no and why I was unavailable. He kind of laughed and said “I won’t work around a second job”. That did it. After 3 long years with this company I finally had enough. He couldn’t work around my schedule so I made it easy for him.

Fuck that place.
