My workplace has a no smoking policy, there is no smoking on property and if you are a smoker you have to wear a mask. No big deal, I managed to quit smoking and was super proud of myself and my coworkers were proud of me too.
My supervisor got onto me for not wearing a mask and proudly told them I quit a few days ago. They congratulated me and told me it was fine for me to be maskless while working.
A few days later I walk out the break room and one of my coworkers offered me a hit off her no nicotine vape. I had seen her and others vape on the property, so I said sure and took a hit.
An hour later I get pulled away by my super and told that I would be given a final written warning. I was super confused as I had never received a first warning that I was aware of. I say ok, that's fine, but it was a no nicotine vape and everyone else does it and it wasn't even mine, so it just seemed odd that I was being reprimanded. She asked who else vapes and I told her who handed it to me because I'm new and don't know everyone's names yet.
She says Ok and I go back to work.
An hour later I get pulled out and fired.
I have no idea wth happened.
