I was terminated from my Assistant Manager job for apparently using inappropriate language to female college employees. I was let go by the GM of stores after my immediate supervisor had written me up for a final warning. What I said in most cases was taken the wrong way. The students were simply upset. I support their right to complain but I was never offered any counseling to correct what was so offensive. I was fired over the phone by someone above my Supervisor who had gone on vacation. No severance package. I had always volunteered to work overtime and take the early shift to make it easier on my manager who I considered to be a good boss and told her several times. Now I’m interviewing for new work. How do you handle this frustration ???
