I used my feet to slide a heavy box to its destination. I wasn't supposed to do that so I stopped doing it immediately. I got fired for it anyway. Manager said “I don't have to tell you not do that”. So I said “I apologize for what I did. But, aren't you the manager? Aren't you supposed to manage newly hired employees? I mean that was my first day. I followed every instruction you gave me and I stopped making the mistakes you pointed out. What else could I have done for my first day?
Sure, you thought that wasn't supposed to be told but…apparently it was. Cause…I did it. If I was the first guy to do it in the whole history of the company then now you can include that to the orientation of the new employees to make sure that doesn't happen again.
I suggest next time you actually manage new hires instead of expecting them to know everything there is to know about the job rather than firing them after one mistake even after they immediately corrected it.”
I just wanted to share this cause after a few weeks of being unemployed I finally found a job and this happened.
