I'll make this as short and to the point as I possibly can, as this (and junk leading up to it) took place over abt a year.
I'm living with my parents and helping raise my niece (her mom has drug issues), and my dad and I both got hired at this convenience store near where we live.
Manager “Mark” is a little suspicious of our living situation and my epilepsy, but everything's good for a while.
A few months in, I have a standing seizure behind the register, with a coworker there to witness it, I get sent home.
Show up the next day and everything is fine. Continue for about a month.
My dad catches covid. Suddenly, Mark texts my dad (not me) that I need to two weeks off for some seizure recovery bullshit.
I comply.
New hire, Jennifer. Kinda cute. Constantly shows up reeking of old beer, rude to customers, as soon as customers pull up, she leaves the counter and goes to clean/stock the cooler and leaves me to man the register.
Mark drunk texts Jennifer to get into her pants the whole time.
Mark is married.
My dad gets into a car accident.
I get my hours cut into 1/4 what they were because someone other than me called in.
I ask new assistant manager (apparently) Jennifer, why.
No answer.
I'm fired the next day through texts to my dad's phone.
