What is work place Gossip?

Hey y’all sorry if this is the wrong subreddit but I just need an informed opinion from y’all so What is considered gossiping in the workplace ? I read other posts and keep seeing : gossiping is talking bad behind peoples backs with the intent of back stabbing people and saying things you wouldn’t want to come back to you. What is considered gossiping in the workplace ?

I read other posts and keep seeing : gossiping is talking bad behind peoples backs with the intent of back stabbing people and saying things you wouldn’t want to come back to you.

Here is what I usually talk about at work with a few select people : issues in the work place and how to fix them (like new coworker not doing his job, upper management not correctly reprimanding him and catching people up on what those coworkers did or some other useless drama that happened when they were gone) , sometimes we talk about personal stuff and life goals but that’s generally it.

So Am I gossiping ? And if so what is a way to communicate with my fellow coworkers about the issues on the shift , solutions and the lack of responsibility from upper management?

I have started to literally stay 10-20min after work to have some conversations because “the walls have ears” at my workplace.

T.L.D.R – not sure if I am gossiping at work or not. I mainly just talk about how some workers aren’t doing their job and what the solutions should be and some of the issues on the shift.
