Fired while on a Doctor supported stress leave

I started a job and it was red flags immediately. Company based in India operating in Canada. They confused me with 3 other employees because we share the same FIRST name. I received emails meant for other people and even was given their shift bid list leading to me not getting to pick my shift because they sent me the wrong list. They couldn't keep French agents so they started forcing English-only agents to take French calls with a translation service but never adjusted our average call time to accommodate the 10-minute hold time for a translator. They also limited “personal” time to 8 mins a day and that included any needed bathroom breaks. He told me I would need a doctor's note if I continued for my “condition”. I don't have a condition.

I was told I would be cross-trained into a new department I advised I was not interested in. It was a much busier line of business and it would be on top of my current line. There was 0 pay raise for this and 3 people on my team quit immediately after getting put there.

My doctor sent me in for testing and decided to put me off on a stress leave. The company uses a 3rd party “employee assistance” provider and they denied my leave due to lack of evidence despite full support from my Doctor. I was terminated for job abandonment for listening to my doctor over my employer over my health.
