First day and I quit

I’m a physical therapist and had my first day in an acute care setting. I took a pay cut due to it being a non profit. Orientation today revealed all these dress code policies involving no unnatural hair colors, absolutely no facial piercings (even if you put in a skin color one) visible tattoos etc). Also had some very cringe rhetoric that seemed geared towards women. And very cringe stuff about the corporation being “a family.” I feel like I’m a competent professional that cares about their job. I also have burgundy red hair and a small nose stud. I even offered to wear a mask to cover the already clear stud. I quit. And I don’t regret it. If I’d been told this was the policy at any point during the process I would not have proceeded. I’m not going to take a pay cut and then be told…

I quit. And I don’t regret it. If I’d been told this was the policy at any point during the process I would not have proceeded. I’m not going to take a pay cut and then be told I need to change my appearance. Just don’t hire me. ️
