There has been something fishy going on regarding PTO at my company.
Last year they moved us to an accrual based PTO system from the lump sum based system we have had for years.
This year they modified it so now it's split 3 different ways (personal/sick/vacation) in addition to being accrual.
But now today, they sent out a 2023 holiday calendar (listing all the holidays we will get off) that informs us that there are two holidays we are MANDATED to take using our PTO?
Is it legal to force us to take a holiday on our own dime? The PTO changes already felt ridiculous as it is, but forcing us to use our PTO hours for something they're forcing on us crosses a line for me.
