Forced to go back to 1st shift

Forced to go back to 2nd shift I work in a factory and I've been there for almost 2 years. I've been on 2nd shift for about a month and I love it. Today my supervisor approached me and asked if I'd be willing to come back to 1st shift from 2nd. I told him I'd have to think about it, because I typically schedule appointments during the day. I'm also not a morning person. Hunting season and the fall semester are approaching as well, so 2nd shift would be perfect for me because there are more available classes in the morning, and mornings I don't have school I can get up early to go hunting, take a nap and go to work. Forced to go back to 2nd shift

I work in a factory and I've been there for almost 2 years. The conversation shifted from “would you mind coming back to days” to “Monday you're on days”. They want me to train someone on a machine that I didn't get training on. I had to teach myself 95% of it; the “trainer” was too busy training someone else and the other person who knows how to run that machine was too busy. When I was still on days, they pressed me to train someone else. When I asked my manager why I'm training someone, they said that it isn't my job and that they would talk to my supervisor. Now they want me to go back to days, which alters my entire schedule, to train someone how to run a machine I've never been trained on. They're also taking away my shift differential, because technically I'll be on 1st shift. I'll be doing more work, for less money. I think that's a bit rude on their part. I spent a substantial amount of time today applying to new jobs. The audacity of them to ask me to do more work for less pay is insulting. Additionally, they pay machine operators the same amount as helpers, and they're trying to eliminate overtime. Indeed be my guide in these troubling times; I spent almost 10 years at my last job where I was treated like garbage and I'll be damned if I let that happen again. I'm sorry for the rant, it's been a hell of a day
