I stopped working there a few months ago because of the unhealthy work environment. While I felt like I was treated fairly as an employee, my bosses were a couple and they had huge fights any time they were both at the office simultaneously. With my personal background and trauma, the atmosphere was very triggering for me so I ultimately decided to move on, despite the decent benefits and job security. I'm an architecture student and it's pretty difficult for me to 1.prove my skill at interviews without a very complex portfolio and 2.find jobs in the field that allow me to keep attending university as well. This time last year they submitted one of my projects to the same competition with credits to me, which helped me immensely to get job interviews and find my current job. I was really excited for this year's competition knowing I had four really good projects waiting to be submitted and I could expand my portfolio (I don't have the projects on my personal computer because of copyright and whatnot so I wait for them to post/submit renders and plans), and I expected they would have the common sense to credit me again even though I don't work there anymore, but they didn't. These are all my projects and I made them from basic sketches to final renders and they get all credit for them, plus some other architect they must've employed after I left. There is nothing changed in these projects, they're the exact same they were when I left them. All they did was write some bullshit description about how the team worked together to elaborate these amazing projects… I'm so sick and tired of this industry and employers that profit off of vulnerable students that work hard for a shitty salary, I have yet to find a business that actually respects and treats their employees fairly.
