I’ve been working for a company for 7 months now as a key accounts manager. When I started, they told me I’ll get a fixed salary for 6 months and from month 7 I’ll work solely on commission. I’m in a FMCG industry and been in the same industry for 13 years. I knew I’d could coin it. 2 months ago I noticed a new rep had started and targeting my existing clients. I phoned my boss and he told me it’s ‘free for all’. This is highly unethical in a sales environment.
2 days ago I handed in my resignation as this policy is completely unsustainable when I only work on commission. My boss said he ‘feels hurt and used’. The amount of delusion of this grown man is mind blowing. Anyway, I’m just happy to be out of that toxic company!
