I recently moved store locations (somewhere closer to my house and at a higher position with better pay). Initially all was well and good here apart from lingering burnout from when I was at the old store. But more recently it has gotten irritating. I recently had to go to the ER for what I am assuming was a dehydration+stress problem and had to leave early. The next day I had a note from the ER doctors that told me to rest and drink lots of fluids. Fast forward to next week, I asked if I could leave 2 hours and even found someone to cover for me due to bad back pains. The next day while at the Vet I find out my cat somehow got fleas and had to call off so I could try and get ahead of the problem.
This is where it all started going downhill. The next day I am back, mildly itchy, and haven't slept. The call me into the office to talk about my attendance and tell me I have been calling out to much. I tell them in response that if they truly feel that way that maybe I should take a leave of absence to get my shit sorted, which immediately causes them back pedal hard. I am told to speak to the Store Manager tomorrow about, who proceeded to ignore me/stay away all day.
Now at this point another 2ish weeks have passed. I am dead tired from trying to deal with the fleas, my brakes blew out on my car and it's now effectively junked, and my cat is sick. I try every day to find time out of the loaded day at the deli to make my way into the office and talk about seriously taking this leave of absence but the Store Manager is never there or available.
Today I thought I would get some mild reprieve and get to head home early due to having OT that I need to cut. Instead I am told to take an hour+ long lunch and stay to my normal time. It's there fault for never have any scheduled overlap in the Deli yet here I am feeling punished for no reason once again.
