I can’t catch a fucking break.
Currently in week 8 of what is supposed to be my 12 week maternity leave. Just called the company who has been paying my short term disability and I’m cut off apparently. My company neglected to tell me that they pay for the lowest possible policy and I’m only receiving 4 weeks of disability payments, the first four were all of my vacation and sick days for the year. When talking with HR they really played it up and said I’d have 8 weeks fully paid by short term disability, failing to mention the fact that I’d only get that if I had a C-Section birth. I have 1500 worth of bills to pay before my return date of 8/4. There is literally no way my husband can shoulder that as well as his own bills. I’m going to have to return early and unexpectedly to work. I still have to find babysitting for my daughter from 2:30 to 4:30 to cover the 2 hours between his shift and mine. I’m so dejected right now, I hate this. I didn’t want to leave my baby even at the 8/4 date, let alone a whole month early. I hate America, I hate this company, I hate my life.
