My place of employment treats me like shit. I told them over a month ago that I needed to move and to replace me as soon as possible and get me off the schedule which they still have not done. I told them my absolute last day would be March 1st. Things are getting worse and worse. How hard would it be to find another job if I tell them I’m done now reference wise? I feel like anyone reasonable would be like “ok you gave them 4 weeks that’s good enough” but I’m worried that I’ll count against me because I didn’t stay until I said I would. Is it technically short notice if they’ve known for a month? My mental health is really suffering. Sorry if this isn’t allowed I didn’t know where else to ask this, just looking for some advice.
ETA: I work at a dog daycare and me leaving would affect the safety of the dogs which is why I’m giving them so much notice and they have not hired anyone else
