I gave my two weeks notice on Monday of this week.
Today my supervisor said “so since next week is a holiday, you can make tomorrow your last day. Or today since I’ll be in tomorrow. It’s up to you.”
I said “okay I will think about it and let you know.” Thinking I could keep my said last day of next Friday.
She just texted me “was today your last day or is it tomorrow? I didn’t get a chance to talk to you before you left.” I said “next Friday will be my last day.” She responded, “tomorrow will be your last day.”
I am in an at will state. Do I have any ground here for anything?
I am floored by all of this. I did nothing but be professional and kind and courteous. And they hired a younger girl who has been the only source of problem for me since I started a year ago. She made it a hostile TOXIC work environment and instead of fix it they just contributed to it and worshipped her.
Any advice would help.
