Just a rant… I applied for a job similar to the role I have now – actually less pay – and got a phone interview scheduled for 5/31. The interview went well and I was asked to come to the office for an in person conversation which I did on 6/8. That interview also went well as far as I was concerned as I had some specific skills they were looking for and I was told I would be a great fit. It was explained to me that there were a few additional candidates that were scheduled for interviews for the following week but that they would be in touch. I hadn't heard anything after that following week so I sent a follow up email directly to the controller (who interviewed me) just wanting to see if they had decided to go with another candidate – if they did, no problem. Never received a response, not even a 'thanks but no thanks' rejection email. Its the first time I've been ghosted like this and its really getting to me. Is this as common as I think it is?
