if you hate US tip culture, don't go out to eat. going out to a full service restaurant and not tipping is not the answer. yes, restaurants should pay their servers a living wage and shouldn't rely on the public to provide the income. but making a server work for free (or pay for you–when I was a server we paid taxes on 12% of our SALES, not our tips) is not the answer.
