Got hurt over a month ago at work- boss knew about it. I had forgotten about how worker's comp is a thing, and was just essentially ignoring my fucked up pain because my PTO sucks. Then a friend ask me why I wasn't getting worker's comp and finally had my facepalm moment. Brought it up to my boss who tried tricking me into thinking I needed disability, not worker's comp. I reminded boss that I had a paper trail of them knowing I had been hurt at work. Boss got started on worker's comp ASAP. Worker's comp eventually called and interrogated me- said they'd call back after a thorough investigation. Fine, have fun talking to the multiple doctors I've seen already.
So that's where I currently am. I'm just really nervous about how the rest of it is going to play out.
Anybody else have any worker's comp stories to share so I can brace myself for what's in store?
