Got asked by my boss lie about the hours I’ve worked

We've got a labour inspection this week, we have been asked to submit paper timesheets for March – usually we fill out our timesheets daily online. Today my boss called me and said he couldn't ask me to change my timesheet, but if I didn't change it to represent a “more normal” working week, then the company would get fined and potentially shut down. Unfortunately he's left nothing in writing. On an average week, I am working 5-15 hours of overtime depending on the week. Some of this I get “time in lieu” , (not that I'll ever get a chance to take the time off becasue we're so understafffed), but a lot of it I don't get anything for. If I didn't really enjoy the work I am doing, I would stop working any overtime, work 8 till 4 and not a minute more. I did 18.5hrs overtime last…

If I didn't really enjoy the work I am doing, I would stop working any overtime, work 8 till 4 and not a minute more. I did 18.5hrs overtime last week and the boss offered me 1 day in lieu, I'm starting to realise its not worth it. I've got a meeting with the him tomorrow and I'm not sure how to approach the issue. I like working the overtime, I just want to get compensated for it properly.

It's made more complex by the fact that I work in spain, so overtime is technically limited to 80hrs a year, hence why there's such a concern over the labour inspector seeing all the overtime.

If it wasn't a job that I enjoy, in a sector that I love, then I would be looking elsewhere already.
