So I got fired from my job at PalAmerican Security. It started as a 3-day suspension for sleeping on the job. I notified them that I had taken my meal break and was sleeping on my meal break which is a legal activity. Since the patrol driver who had woken me up was working with the manager who decided to make it his duty to deny me my sick time illegally I restarted my lunch as per company policy which states that any interrupted lunch or break period may be restarted (think it's also state law).
The operations manager called me that morning to notify me that I had been suspended. He told me I could call him if I have any more questions and we spoke for a good 15 minutes. He told me he would call me after the 3-day suspension was over to notify me of what action they had taken. After the three they suspension I did not receive any call. I placed several calls I'm mounting to probably 15 or more throughout the week after my suspension. Nobody told me I was fired. I tried to log into the company portal which I was denied access to which made me realize that I had been fired most likely.
So I did what any rational person would do and I called my employment lawyer. I know the five dim of the wrongful termination but forgot to notify them of other actions that this company has taken such as illegally recording phone calls and such. I need to call them today to notify them of these things but I do believe even without that I still have a wrongful termination suit on hand due to all of this happening shortly after requesting my sick time. I have the emails for these requests and the lady who was dealing with the sick time was also trying to Gaslight Me by changing dates that I had sent her in regards to my missing pay. Then she decided to go on vacation. I notified them that by law I'm entitled to these things and about a month later or less I get fired?
It's also the same manager who told the dispatcher that I do not get my sick pay because I called in too late for it who had the patrol driver snap some pictures of me sleeping on my lunch. He also likes to spread rumors about people who get caught sleeping and he always says the same thing that they got caught with lotion in their car and whatever else. He's gotten so many employees fired for any perceived slight against him. I believe he thinks I am his enemy because I don't let him dictate when I get paid or not. I'm not really sure what's up with this guy.
Long story short after I contacted my attorney last Thursday my old company has contacted me today. They finally let me know what day I was terminated on which was over 2 weeks ago. I cussed on the phone not directly at her but I told them they were “fucking playing stupid fucking games and I don't play that shit”. She then told me that she would appreciate it if I didn't cuss. I told her I would do whatever I want. It's not like they're going to rehire me anyways. So she muted her end of the call and then came back and told me my termination date and that she was just asking for confirmation of whether the documents received from my lawyer were legitimate or not. I told them they were. Then she wanted to fix my sick time and I just hung up. It's too late for that I'd rather get the bigger paycheck especially since I'm already fired.
