For context, I am 15F and this manger was 45+F. I had been working as a cashier for about 4 months, It was my first job and I loved my coworkers, except this manager (who also does not run my department.) This particular shift we were closing and it was my first time back in awhile after being off due to mental health struggles, which my departments manager talked to me about and was understanding. After a very mentally draining shift, my coworker got sent home so things were stressful when closing, I was getting told to do contradicting work and yelled at many times by this manager. As the store got closer to closing I began to rush and was yelled at once again from across the store, after doing what I was told I tried to walk away and my manager yelled again to say I left the cash drawer open (ik this is a bad mistake but we were closed and she was right there) after being told I said I understood but my manager continued to press me. After that I raised my voice slightly to ask if the tobacco drawers were locked and this seemed to trigger this manager as she began to scream in my face and grab my shoulders, she screamed “don't you ever talk to me like that again” “leave right now, leave and never come back” etc. After I tried to keep my composure while her words rang through my ears, I broke down and said “you're not my mother” and “get your hands off me, don't touch me.” She continued screaming things like “you lost your mind little girl” “you have gone insane” etc. In conclusion, I had a meeting with my actual manager and the store owners and was let go due to my emotional reaction.
