Haven't started turning a profit yet but the portfolio is coming together. My aspirations are for gem and mineral photography like at the Tuscon Gem and Mineral show and for cataloging museum specimens. Definitely still need a lot more work but I'm somewhat limited until I can upgrade my equipment.
I worked as an applications engineer in the machine vision inspection industry for food and beverage manufacturing. I learned so much about lighting, cameras, color calibration, polarizarion, lenses, filters, etc that I figured i can probably calitalize on that knowledge. My passion is collecting rocks and minerals and photography is actually a lot of fun.
