Had a remote job I've been with for 4 months and I got a lot of great work for the first couple of months and have gotten good feedback. Work slowed down a lot as I thought it would as the holidays approach as I expected but there were 2 weeks I didn't get any assignment. Today, i was removed from the website we use and logged out out of slack which we use too. I got literally no email or anything in regard to them letting people go or anything and it was so unexpected and now I don't know how I am going to survive this month.
There was a contract about this job and it was an employee at will, but shouldn't people be notified if they are letting people go? I never got any bad feedback or anything.
