Handing in my notice tomorrow

I have been offered a job that I forgot I had applied to. The interview went quickly and everything was smooth – they're offering me a much higher salary – plus yearly bonuses and pay raise, better benefits and 100% remote work. I'm going to sign the contract today. I am going to hand in my notice tomorrow at my current position but I feel this last month of working will be quite hellish. Previously they have treated people who are on their way out really badly. On top of that 3 people quit last week and the management is already in a bad mood. How do I bring it up gently without them getting angry or having a bad reaction? Do I have a call first then send a formal email? What is the best way of bringing this up?
