Has anyone found a good balance between work and life? What does that look like for you?

I’ve been on the fence on grinding my life away getting that money or setting down and settling for less, working less, making less but trying to take it easy. I don’t want to feel like a bum, working a unskilled labor job, but if I want to go to school and further my education it’s looking like the military is my outlet. Not to mention I have no idea if I’ll like my career once I start working towards it. It might be a completely different experience on the job and then boom 4-5 years down the drain. What’s the point?
