So my husband is not happy he has been working for the same company for 18 years, so many things have changed since their company became corporate owned. He is on salary but non-exempt he still earns overtime if he is needed for overtime. A year ago if someone was assigned to work on a holiday they are paid $300 plus given a floating holiday as incentive. Since nobody wants to work the holidays. Last year the holiday pay was decreased to $175 plus a floating holiday. This year however he worked on Memorial day and he was told that there are no more dollar incentives just the floating holiday. Also holiday work is mandatory and is distributed with a staff of 4 operation managers. We are in California, is there a wage law that is broken here?
