How can I help my partner see that she needs to leave her job?

I need ideas! My partners current work environment is awful. She is the manager of a private practice, but the practice owner made it clear at the start that she has no authority over the employees. They all treat her with open contempt and hostility, and she comes home shaken and upset almost every day. A good day at work for her is when the others only stomp around the office and slam doors. When she takes her issues to the owner, he tells her to “grow a thicker skin” and does nothing to address the unprofessional behavior. She's paid less than the previous managers, who were men with fewer qualifications and is given substantially more work. She even put in a resignation with a 2-month notice in March but withdrew it when it became obvious that they wouldn't find a replacement at her current pay rate. They made all the promises that things would change, but of course they did nothing to actually change them.

Now, she wants to put in another 2-month notice. I really don't understand her thinking because it's just adding another month to her unhappiness when the owner has already demonstrated his unwillingness to find a replacement or improve conditions. It seems to me that she's stuck in the cycle of abuse, and I hate having to stand by and watch that happen to the person I love and want to protect. Do my fellow anti-workers have any advice or stories I can show her that might help her see the light?
