How can I prove that I have a coworker trying to go against me? We are working remotely and he is in a different state than me. This is not happening in messages but video calls.

I have a coworker trying to go against me. Back in January I made a mistake due to a miscommunication that was out of my control. He set up a call with me, him, and the team lead where he expressed disappointment in me. He is not my supervisor or manager. Since then he has been going against me whenever he can. Then a few weeks later after all was well he randomly brings up the mistake I made in front of my whole team. Something felt very off about this.

He also will try to make me look stupid in front of the team. I can tell just by his tone. I do not think taking to him will do anything about it.

I am very scared that things are going to get worse. I am only 24 and I cannot mess up this early in my career.

This is all happening on video calls so I cannot prove anything. I also cannot record him as that can be illegal.

I have a few questions:

1.) what are some legal ways I can prove mistreatment?

2.) If I was to report this and he denies my claims, can my company fire me? I am in Massachusetts and so is the company. I also fear since he is older HR will likely believe him.

Any other advice is much appreciated.
