Evening all,
I am in a bit of a pickle here – i've now been disrespected two consecutive times regarding a significant promotion at work. In both instances I was the longest tenured, most experienced, and most qualified.
Iteration one, i was passed for a bootlicker.
Iteration two, i was passed for the girlfriend of the VP in another dept.
I have lost all confidence in my department's VP and their ability to make proper staffing choices.
Here's the pickle – I live it a fairly small, rural town and make a lot more money comparatively speaking to just about anything available. (I work in the tech sector and most of the stuff around here is mfg or agriculture)
Has anyone been in a similar situation? How did you quit your job and replace your income where there were basically no options?
I searched online for remote jobs, but the vast majority are “earn $9999999 a month with only working 4 hours a week, we swears!!”
I am stuck and I dont know what to do.
Am I just being a whiny loser and should just take my licks and be happy for what I earn?
